Wichita’s second Mokas is going to open on the east side. “We have been pleased with the support Wichita has shown us at our first location and are looking forward to serving East Wichita in the near future,” said Jason Ingermanson, founder and CEO of Mokas owner JRI Hospitality, in an e-mailed statement.
Wichita’s first Mokas opened in 2022 at 143 N. McLean in Delano. The second Mokas will be at the Veranda. That’s Laham Development’s new 20-acre mixed-use development along 13th Street between Greenwich and Webb Road. That’s not far from its Plazzio development where the Warren Theatre is. Mokas serves a wide variety of coffee along with breakfast, pastries, sandwiches, salads and wraps. “We’re excited to open this new Mokas in Wichita that will continue to expand the brand in order to reach more and more people,” Ingermanson said. “We expect to grow both company owned properties and through franchising.”
